Caroline Ellis (born October 12, 1950) is an English actress who has appeared in a number of films. Ellis is most known to American viewers for her portrayal as Joy in the television series The Bugaloos (1970). Ellis also had an appearance in the 1977 film Confessions from a Holiday Camp, when she played a Brummie beauty pageant contestant. Aside from her appearances on television, she has also starred in the Only Fools and Horses episode “Go West Young Man,” the Southern Television children’s adventure series Freewheelers, and the TSW’s Cut Price Comedy Show, where she was a prominent performer. In addition, two separate presentations of Sherlock Homes were shown. One is for the BBC, while the other is for an independent production company. Luisa in the West End production of The Sound of Music is only one example of the many various theatre presentations. In 2006, Ellis was included on the Bugaloos’ DVD collection, which included an interview with fellow actor/Bugaloo John Philpott as well as audio commentary for a number of episodes.
